First Changes
It was a tough decision on whether to try to restore it to original or not. I finally decided that
I would keep it as original as possible but make changes that are period correct and that I probably would have made
if I had bought the car when I was 20 (I am about 38 years past that mark).
I decided to put on the "GT" trim, also. That makes it a "clone" or "tribute car" I guess.

The engine compartment cleaned up nicely and I repainted the air cleaner and other parts
I could remove easily. I bought some reproduction decals.
I also sprang for some Cobra style valve covers.
I decided to go with original "GT" style rims. The tires look a lot better with the new rims.
First view with new rear bumper, new rims and primer on some
surface rust. The car has no major rust anywhere.
